General Maintenance Mechanic

Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, KY is seeking qualified candidates for the position of General Maintenance Mechanic.
DUTIESThe General Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties essential to the manufacture of chemical products while consistently adhering to all established safety and operating proceduresThis includes but is not limited to:
Installation, mechanical repair, and preventative maintenance of rotating equipment, piping & valves which may include:
pipe welding, brazing and/or heavy equipment operationWrite work orders and obtain needed parts and supplies within the computerized maintenance management systemCoordinate activities with other co-workers, supervisors, and operations personnelSupport and encourage a strong HSE and team environment.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum high school education and 5 years of journeyman-level maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment required or equivalent combination of education and experienceChemical manufacturing experience, apprenticeship and/or UA welding certification preferredMust have a demonstrated ability to install, repair, and/or maintain rotating equipment, piping and/or valvesPipefitting, welding & heavy equipment operation experience a plusEffective oral and written communication, math and basic computer skills requiredSAP experience a plus.
